My primary academic interest is in diseases of the liver and bile ducts and my clinical work in the hepatobiliary system has included a variety of procedures such as arterial and portal vein embolization, biliary drainage, and thermal ablation of primary and metastatic liver lesions. I have given refresher courses at the Radiology Society of North America, The American Roentgen Ray Society, Society of Interventional Radiology and Advanced Interventional Management conferences. I have edited 3 books, authored several book chapters and written invited articles in the area of hepatobiliary intervention.As a writing member of the hepatobiliary panel of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network and the Hepatobiliary Task Force I helped update the locoregional therapy and diagnostic guidelines. Since 2017 I have served as Trustee of the American Board of Radiology. In 2020 I became the Interventional Radiology Section Editor of the American Journal of Roentgenology.
