    •Born: December 29th 1980, in Cairo Egypt.
    •He is currently holding the position of Interventional Radiology Consultant; Interventional Radiology Unit, Ain Shams University Hospitals, one of largest Institutes in Egypt and the Middle East. He has been the vice head of the IR unit since 2015.
    •Dr. Karim has high experience (More than 7000 cases) in various Vascular and Non Vascular Interventional Radiology procedures especially Interventional Oncology , GIT and Biliary interventions as well as Embolization procedures and Varicose veins management.
    •He started the first team in Egypt and the Middle East to perform prostatic artery embolization in 2012, he is the first in Egypt and the Middle East to do Hemorrhoidal embolization in 2015.
    •Dr. Karim has been responsible for the Residents Training Program in IR unit Ain Shams University since 2015, supervising and training as much as 10 new IR residents every year.
    • Dr. Karim is currently the Secretary of the Pan Arab Interventional Radiology Society “PAIRS” since 2021, a board member since 2016 and the head of the Marketing and Media committee since 2013, he is the Head of #IAM_PAIRS, the biggest IR awareness program in the region since 2019. He is also The founder and a board member of the Egyptian Society of the Interventional Radiology “EgSIR” since 2016. He is also a corresponding member of both the Society of Interventional Radiology “SIR” (USA) since 2010, and The Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology Society of Europe “CIRSE”, since 2013.
    • Dr. Karim is a world renouned speaker, he has given hundreds of talks and lectures in various international, regional and local conferences.
    • Dr. Karim has lots of innovative publications whether in large volume series studies, unorthodox embolization techniques or rare case reports especially in PAIRS Journal, the “AJIR”, Arab Journal of Interventional Radiology.
