Shamar Young currently is an Associate Professor and chief of Interventional Radiology at the University of Arizona. Dr. Young received his Medical Degree from the University of Florida, where he stayed on as a resident. He later finished a fellowship in Interventional Radiology at the University of Minnesota and accepted a faculty position there upon completion. He served as director of Interventional Oncology for several years at the University of Minnesota before moving on to the University of Arizona. He serves on numerous local, national and International committees. He is a passionate researcher with areas of particular interest in interventional oncology, portal hypertension, and advanced embotherapy.
