Sarah B. White, MD, MS, FSIR, FCIRSE is currently a Professor of Radiology and Surgical Oncology in the Division of Vascular & Interventional Radiology at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW), and has been practicing since 2011. Dr. White was the first person in the country to complete the Diagnostic & Interventional Radiology Enhanced Clinical Training Pathway (DIRECT) at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. In addition, she received a Master’s Degree in Clinical Investigation from Northwestern University. She founded an Interventional Oncology laboratory that is focused on translational research developing new techniques and drug delivery platforms to treat primary and secondary liver cancer at MCW, where she serves as the Vice Chair of Research for the Department of Radiology. Most recently, she was named Senior Medical Director of Programmatic Excellence, Associate Dean/Assistant Provost of Faculty Affairs.
Dr. White has also received many awards for her research from several national and international organizations, including the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR), the Association of University Radiologists (AUR) and the Radiologic Society of North America (RSNA), and was the Constantine Cope Cook Interventional Radiology endowed fellow at the University of Pennsylvania. In 2016, she was honored by the SIRF with the Gary Becker Young Investigator Award. In addition, she was awarded the 2014-2015 and the 2020-2021 Teacher of the Year for the Division of Vascular & Interventional Radiology. For the graduate students, she was named the Outstanding Graduate School Educator for the Medical College of Wisconsin/Marquette University for 2016-2017.
